At last I have met Jochan and Nicole, the owners and visionaries of this lovely place I am staying at. Powerful people.
When I returned from my trip into the city to renew my visa, I saw another soul back here at the resort, walking on the path, and realized that must be the owner. I called him my guardian angel and we shook hands. It was interesting to feel such different energy from him then from all the Balinese! Here was a man that was active, initiating things, with a vision.
After a swim and tai chi I was recuperated from the day long trip and was curious to meet the woman whos' joyfllled laughter I kept hearing rolling in the air from my room and while at the pool. And there was Nicole, tall, thin, blonde, and looking just like the Balinese wooden carved wall piece in my bathroom! Nice that they both speak excellent English. We spoke for hours and hours about so much that in the end I just had to go to sleep already, tired from so much conversation after a month of barely speaking! But it was all very interesting and just the tip of the iceberg.
Jochan is an avid gardener which explains the beautiful landscape architecture here. And has dealt in interior design and objects d'art for years, so, that explains the aesthetics, Nicole is simply a lovely woman that will be celebrating her 40th birthday in another 10 days and is wise beyond her years. She is a metabolic coach and does many forms of healing (quantum) and used to be a sales representative for quality jewelry and was also involved with works of art with Jochan. It is her wonderful cooking skills that I am eating everyday, having trained her staff to make it all, along with Jochans love of cooking too.
They have been renovating this place for 2 years having found it dilapidated 4 years ago. It used to be owned by an artist from the area that would have workshops here and host artistic performances…but has since died. They found it in a total state of ruin, not having been inhabited for years and all grey and barren looking, and have built it anew around the "heart" that they felt had been planted here originally by the artist when he first built it. His widow lives down the way and still has a gallery of his works, so I hope to go visit her in the next couple of days.
Among the million other topics that I shared with Nicole was the fact that although my days here are filled with joy and wonder, my nights are filled with nightmares and much unrest. She reassured me that a dream I had of a friend dying, according to her Italian grandmothers' theory, means that I have just extended my friends life even longer! We also spoke about drinking water and how important it is, and as I drank 2 glassfuls at dinner with them and shared that this will be at the expense of running to the toilet all night, she said that that is not necessary, and that the body can get used to a new rhythm. I have a feeling that she did her "quantum healing" on me enabling me to sleep peacefully without nightmares or a need to pee. Thank you!
Another "coincidence" was that last april they celebrated their friends wedding by bringing the only womens gamelon orchestra in bali to play for them here! I said that maybe I will be able to initiate the next one here in the nearby temple.
They have some glass wall pieces made by an Israeli artist living in bali, which I found interesting. Having also shared my disappointment that Israelis are not allowed into bali, so all of my friends from Israel will not be able to come to this wonderful place, including my boyfriend. She said we need to check this out, so maybe there will be a solution?
